Ladies and gentlemen,
I just wanna post my speech for the competition. Here we go....
Good morning everybody.
May God Almighty always be with us everytime and everywhere.
The honored adjudicators and also my beloved audiences.
In this occasion, I am standing here to speech about the Israel’s Aggression to Gaza Strip. Well, we all have known that the Gaza’s worst fighting has taken lot of Palestinian life. Israel did the action because The Islamic militants fired barrages of rockets at southern Israel cities on Friday, ignoring a U.N. resolution calling for an immediate cease fire after two weeks of combat. Adapted from
www.msnbc.com, The Israel’s Prime Minister’s office said the U.N. action wasn’t practical, and Senior Cabinet Ministers decided to press on with the offensive. Israel will stop only when it succeeds in ending rocket fire from the Hamas-ruled territory, the Government said. Hamas also dismissed the resolution and spokesmen expressed annoyance they were not consulted.
We know that the heavy air bombardment and ground troops with artillery and tank fire have been contributed to a surge in civilian casualties. Crowds in neat rows bowed in prayer in front of the dead bodies, wrapped in funeral shrouds and flags. We can imagine the situation when the Israel’s army came by the Michael Heart’s song “We Will Not Go Down”. Their planes made a blinding flash of white light that lit up the sky over Gaza in a night. People just ran for cover and didn’t know whether they died or alive. The bombs fell down like rain. Explosion is everywhere. It’s definitely a terror.
Such scenes have triggered anger through Islamic world and elsewhere. There have been daily protests in the Middle East and in Europe, where there also has been a rise in anti-Semitic attacks.
On the other hand, Thirteen Israelis have been killed, four of them by militants rocket, the rest in battle in Gaza.
After all, the smoky haze faded away. But, Israel doesn’t get a punishment from U.N. And I think, the Israel’s alliances just helped the Palestinian and don’t ever think to blame Israel seriously. Israel hides behind the reason that they just want the militants as the target. It’s definitely difficult to protect civilians in a place as densely populated as Gaza, but the attack has hurt and taken a lot of life away. In my opinion, U.N. has to punish Israel at first. Countries around the world have to show the best attitude in U.N. punishment. After that, U.N. can urge Israel and Palestine to discuss to make a peace in their territory. But, sure that Palestine got to unite Hamas and Fatah. So they can make their plans become real. A long-term plan should be taken so a peace can be created in Middle East region. But, that situation depends on the people of Israel’s choices. If Tzipi Livni wins in the election, we can hope a peace becomes true.
That’s all I can explain. Thanks for your attention. Good morning everybody.
